Indigenous Youth Support Initiative
YMHC continues to identify ways to provide resource support to Indigenous communities. Indigenous communities will receive a box of mental wellness workbooks valued at $600 when an Indigenous professional registers for the YMHC training course to support students with chronic school absenteeism.

Recipe: Almond Croissant Blondies
Ingredients
For the Blondies:
½ cup unsalted butter softened
1 cup light brown sugar packed
1 large egg at room temperature
¼ tsp almond extract
2 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
1 & â…“ cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp baking powder
â…“ cup almond flour
½ cup sliced almonds for topping
Powdered sugar for dusting
For the Frangipane:
4 tbsp butter
½ cup granulated sugar
1 egg yolk
¼ tsp vanilla
¼ tsp almond extract

Conference Overview
The conference will address the pressing issue of chronic school absenteeism in Canada, with absentee rates ranging from 20% to 80% in some areas. In Hamilton alone, the absenteeism rate stands at 54%.
